Linda S. Austin, age 62, of Green Camp, Ohio passed away on Friday, November 11, 2011, at 5:59 p.m. in the OSU Hospital, Columbus.
She was born on August 19, 1949 in Marion, Ohio to Jerald and Delores (McEliece) Jerew. Both parent survive in Marion.
Linda is also survived by her husband, John A. Austin whom she married on January 31, 1972 in Monroe, Michigan.
She attended Marion Technical College where she earned her Associates Degree in secretarial management. Linda was a member of the Green Camp United Methodist Church and the Auxillary of American Legion Post 368 in Prospect. She was also a member of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association. She enjoyed motorcycle riding and camping. Linda worked as a beautician for 10 years and later worked as an Administrative Assistant in the maintainance & engineering dept. of Scotts Lawn Care.
Surviving along with her parents and husband are a son; Jeremy (Valerie) Austin of Marion, a daughter; Jamie (Jason) Bonsel of Marion, a brother; James Jerew of Marion, 2 sisters; Sharon (Steve) Leeth and Gerrie (Bill) Nutter both of Marion, 9 grandchildren, who were her first love, and several nieces & nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, November 19, 2011 @ 11 AM at Greencamp United Methodist Church with Rev. Mandy Rice officiating. Visitation for familly and friends will be Saturday, November 19, 2011 from 10 – 11 AM at the church.
The Boyd-Born Funeral Home is handling the arrangements for the family. In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
