Timothy F. VanSickle, age 50 of Marengo died suddenly Friday, November 4, 2011 from injuries sustained in a truck accident on SR 37 East of Sunbury near SR 605.
He is the beloved son of Delson and Mary L. (Waterer) VanSickle of Marengo and was born on November 16, 1960 in Mt. Gilead.
A graduate of Highland High School in 1978, he was a lifelong Marengo area resident. He worked as a cement truck driver for Buckeye Ready Mix in Johnstown. Over the past 30 years he had also driven for Snyder’s Milling in Marengo, Ellis Brothers, Top Cat Concrete, and Hensel Ready Mix.
He attended Genoa Baptist Church and was an avid movie fan. He also enjoyed amusement parks, and monster truck shows. With a passion for all automobiles, he was constantly changing makes and models.
As one who couldn’t say no; his nieces and nephews held the keys to his heart. He considered them to be his own and treasured time spent with them. Selfless, kind, and loyal, he always put others first. Even though quiet and shy, he enjoyed a good laugh. Simply put he was an all around good guy who was dearly loved and who will be dearly missed.
In addition to his parents he is survived by brothers: Kevin (Janice) and James VanSickle both of Marengo, sister Susan (Tony) Breece of Delaware, nieces and nephews: Misty, Ben, Mariah, Stephanie, Phillip, step-nieces and step-nephews: Ida, Tony, Jamie, Lisa, Robert, extended family and a host of friends.
Friends may call Tuesday 4-7 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, SR’s 3 at 61, Sunbury, where services will be held Wednesday 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Wayne Booth officiating, interment will follow in Bloomfield Cemetery near Sparta.
