Donald Greene, age 80, of LaRue, Ohio, died Tuesday December 27, 2011 at 8:10 PM at Riverside Hospital in Columbus.
He was born June 22, 1931 in Blaine Kentucky to the late Morton and Beatrice (Berry) Greene.
On June 21, 1950 he married Rosemary Cox and she died July 15, 2008.
Surviving are Daughters; Nancy (Daniel) Jeffers of LaRue, Kathryn (Darrell) Cassell of Tallahassee, Florida, Janice (David) Jeffers of Delaware, Laura (Mike) Joseph of Marion, and Donna (Mike) Bridges of Nevada. Sons; Brian (Sandy) Greene of LaRue and Andy (Sharon) Greene of New Bloomington. 24 Grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren. 2 Brothers and 8 Sisters.
Mr. Greene worked at Marion Power Shovel for 43 years as a crane operator and in maintenance. Member of the Calvary Bible Baptist Church in Marion. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, bowling, camping and especially his children. He loved the outdoors and was a avid gardener.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday December 31, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the LaRue Baptist Church. Ministers will be Pastor Tim Pasma and Pastor Ken Wert. Burial in Chapel Heights Memory Gardens. Friends may call Friday December 30, 2011 from 5 to 8 PM at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in LaRue.
