Franklin D. Hollingsworth, age 81, of Mount Gilead, died early Sunday morning, December 11, 2011, at the Riverside Methodist Hospital.
On July 28, 1930, Franklin was born at home in Morrow County, one of seven children of the late Charles and Effie (Edgington) Hollingsworth. He attended Sparta Schools.
For over 20 years, Franklin had worked at Stahl’s Metal Products in Cardington until his retirement. Prior to Stahl’s, he was the right hand man of John Jaegger at his Ford Dealership and had worked at C & D Chevrolet washing cars and helping in the maintenance department.
Franklin was a member of the Denmark United Methodist Church.
He will be missed by three brothers and one sister: Roy (Nancy) Hollingsworth of Ashland, Charles Hollingsworth, George (Carol) Hollingsworth, both of Mount Gilead, and Marilee McDougal of Galion; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Including his parents, Franklin was preceded in death by his brother, Paul Hollingsworth; and sister, Natella Lloyd.
Services will be observed privately by Franklin’s family at the Rivercliff Cemetery.
