Hope M. Emmons age 76 of Marion passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at her residence.
Born in Marion to the late Chester E. and Helen M. (Porterfield) Dall.
On November 26, 1954 Hope married Charles F. Emmons and he survives.
Hope was a 1953 graduate of Harding High School. She worked at Ohio State University Marion as an Admissions Associate starting in 1977 until present.
Survivors include her husband Charles, three sons, Mitch (Jeanne) Emmons of Powell, OH., Steve (Diane) Emmons of Lewis Center, OH., and Mike (Betty) Emmons of Mason, OH., Six grandchildren Lauren, Erin, Sara, Katie, Alex, and Austin Emmons, one niece and five nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and one sister Faith Ballenger.
Hope will be remembered for her love of family and her long term love of the Ohio State University and Ohio State University Marion. The family would like to thank Peggy Emmons, her sister in law, for her caring compassion for Hope.
Family will recieve friends from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, December 9, 2011 at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors, and also from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 10, 2011 at Epworth United Methodist Church located 249 East Center St. A funeral service will be held Saturday at Epworth United Methodist Church at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Marion Cemetery.
