Loretta A. Wright, 70, of Mount Gilead

Loretta A. Wright, age 70, of Mount Gilead, died on Sunday evening, December 11, 2011, at her residence following a two year illness.

Born March 11, 1941 in Pike County, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Charles Woodrow Roosa and Bertah Marie (Rapp) Roosa Stillion.

On March 21, 1959, Loretta married her high school sweetheart, Junior Clayton Wright.  They shared over 52 years of marriage together.

Loretta was employed as a bus driver for the Northmor School District for 35 years, retiring in 2008.

A woman of faith, Loretta was a member of the Williamsport United Methodist Church.  She was also a member of the E.B. Rinehart American Legion Post #754 Auxiliary.

In her spare time, Loretta enjoyed gardening and then canning her produce, such as tomatoes, corn, green beans, and beets.  She also loved mushroom hunting and putting together jigsaw puzzles.

Loretta’s family was very important to her.   She cherished time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Wednesday evening was always a fun time for her family.  They would get together and have a large spaghetti dinner followed by relaxing outside enjoying each other’s company.

She will always be remembered for her sweet, loving and kind nature.

Loretta will be dearly missed by her husband, Junior, of Mount Gilead; three sons: Ricky (Christina) Wright of Galion, Michael Wright of Mt. Gilead, Randy (Lorraine) Wright of Mt. Gilead; eight grandchildren: Pamela (Shawn) Barney, Rebecca, Harold, Andrew, Mathew, Mackenzie, Kristie, and Nathan Wright; four great grandchildren: Kyle, Kalob, Kaytlyn, and Keirsten Barney; two brothers, William “Howard” (Donna) Roosa of Sycamore,OH , Paul (Linda) Roosa of Peebles, OH; one sister, Dianne (Jack) Spayde of North Woodbury, OH; and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Loretta was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Edward “Eddie” Roosa.L

oretta’s family will greet friends from 4 – 7 p.m. on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at the Snyder Funeral Home, Craven Chapel, 67 N. Main St., Mt. Gilead.  Services celebrating her life will be held there on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Gary Lamb-Hart officiating.  Burial will follow in Shauck Cemetery.
