Pastor Roy D. Gifford age 65 of Marion, Ohio passed away Saturday, December 10, 2011 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
He was born January 6, 1946 in West Union, Ohio to the late Starlen and Naellie Gifford.
On April 20, 1963 he married Lucille D. (Colvin) Gifford.
Roy was a member of Pentacostal Believers in Christ in Marion, Ohio. He was a pastor for 32 years at various chuches around Ohio, pastor at Port Clinton from 1971-1975, Marion Full Gospel from 1976-1988, Fremont El Bethel from 1990-1991, and New Hope Church of God from 1992-2003.
He is survived by his wife, Lucille Gifford of Marion, OH., three children, Terry D. (Katie) Gifford of Greensburg, IN., Tammy D. (Will) Coleman of Bowling Green, OH., Tina D. (Sean) Kotecki of Beaumont, TX., six grandchildren, Kendra "Little Roy", Kayle, Amanda, Michael, Phillip and Sarah, one great grandchild, Austin.
The Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, December 14, 2011 @ 1 PM at Pentacostal Believers in Christ,347 N. Main St. Marion, with Pastor Clifford Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Caledonia Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday, December 13, 2011 from 5 – 8 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home.
