Patricia “Ann” Walston, age 74, of Marion, OH passed away Sunday, December 11, 2011 at Heartland of Marion.
A lifelong resident of Marion, OH, Ann was born on September 2, 1937 to the late Malcolm H. and Margaret J. (Lehman) Larkin.
Ann married Samuel P. Walston on September 8, 1956 and together they raised four children.
After working at Marion Power Shovel Ann went to work, for over 30 years, in the Real Estate Market where she mainly worked for Century 21 Realty. Along with working, Ann was an active member of St. Mary Parish, The Marion Board of Realtors, Ohio Association of Realtors, Twig 4 of Marion General Hospital, Marion Chamber of Commerce, and National Organization of Realtors. She also served two terms on the MRDD Board #169 and three years on the MARCA Industries Board.
Mrs. Walston is survived by her husband Samuel Walston, children Michael S. (Tammy) Walston of Marion, Kathleen A. (Larry) Laird of Marion and Michelle K. (Donald) McConnell of Marion. She is also survived by four grandchildren Christopher Laird, Christy Rorak, Sierra Walston, and Michael C. Walston, one great grandchild and her sister Jane Anderson of Arlington, TX.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Elizabeth A. Walston, one sister Linda Donnelly, and two brothers Thomas Larkin and Stanley Larkin.
Friends may call Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at Gunder/Hall and Folk Funeral Directors from 4 PM until 8 PM with Parish Prayers held at 4 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM Thursday, December 15, 2011 at St. Mary Church, located 251 N. Main St. in Marion, OH. with Fr. Michael Nimocks officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
