Scott Donald Osborne, 41, of Cardington

Scott Donald Osborne, age 41, of Cardington, died unexpectedly on Saturday, December 3, 2011, at the Riverside Methodist Hospital following a brief illness.

On April 3, 1970, Scott was born in Mount Gilead, the son of Helen (Drake) Fox and George Osborne.  He attended the Cardington School systems.

For many years, Scott worked as a truck driver.

An avid Pittsburgh Steelers football fan, Scott looked forward ever Sunday they would play.  He also enjoyed fishing and working on cars.

Having a huge heart for animals, Scott especially loved his canine companion he cleverly named “Dog”.

Always a jokester, Scott would do anything to get a good hearty laugh out of you.  He was also a kind, helpful and considerate young man.

Scott will be dearly missed by his wife, Amy Osborne of Cardington; four children: Robert, Scott Jr., and Julia Osborne, and Melissa Preece; his mother, Helen Fox of Cardington; his father, George (Debbie) Osborne of Cardington; two brothers and three sisters: Pat Osborne, Georgeia (Jeremy) Miller, Jo Fox (Jenna Cook), Brooke Osborne and Mitch Osborne; mother-in-law, Sandra Kuhn; paternal grandparents: Fred & Doris Osborne; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Ernest & Lula Drake; his step father, Joe Fox; his father-in-law, Robert Kuhn

The Osborne family will greet friends from Noon to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 8, 2011, at the Snyder Funeral Home, 76 S. Main St., Mount Gilead.  Services honoring his life will follow at 2:00 p.m., with Pastor Ed Wahl officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to assist his family with funeral expenses.
