Kathryn L. Zattau, age 93 of Marion, OH, passed away Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Marion Pointe.
She was born July 30, 1918 in Marion to the late Francis John and Kathryne Cleve (Stalter) Courtad.
In 1940 in Marion, she married Herbert W. Zattau, who passed away on May 25, 1996.
Kathryn was a homemaker, formerly attended Fite Memorial Baptist Church, and was a member of the Bridge Club and the Women’s Study Club. In high school, she was in the National Honor Society. The strong Christian beliefs held by Kathryn and Herbert was graciously passed on to both their daughters.
Kathryn is survived by those two daughters, Suzanne (Jack L.) Davis, of Sarasota, FL, and Rebecca L. (Bradley G.) Boston, of Marion. Also surviving are six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
The funeral service for Kathryn will be Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at 10:30AM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Officiating the service will be her son-in-law, Brad Boston. Burial will follow in the Marion Cemetery. Calling hours are scheduled for Monday, January 30, 2012 from 6-8PM at the funeral home.
