Marjorie J. Cutarelli, 83, of Marion

Marjorie Jean Cutarelli, 83, was called by the Lord at home where she passed away peacefully in her sleep Saturday, January 7, 2012.

A life-long resident of Marion, she was born to Hazel and Barney Simmons on September 15, 1928. She attended St. Mary Grade School and graduated from St. Mary High School in 1946.

She was a wife and mother of twelve, a grandmother, great-grandmother and homemaker. She was devoted to her family and spent much of her time involved in their lives. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching, crocheting, puzzles, movies, and above all her family. She loved to play her violin and piano. She had her own business of Bookkeeping and Tax Services during her life and was a member of St. Mary Church.

She loved traveling and spent a few winters in Florida and she even climbed two volcanoes, Mt. St. Helen and Mt. Rainier in Washington.

She touched the lives of many people by her smile and generosity. She loved to tell Bible stories to her children and was devoted to Jesus and Our Blessed Virgin Mary, and surrendered her whole life to Christ.

She is preceded in death by her husband Anthony and son Daniel. She is survived by two brothers Chuck (Thena) Simmons and Don (Linda) Simmons, both of Tennessee.

She leaves her children Peter (Kristy) Cutarelli of Greenville, OH, Benn (Linda) Cutarelli of Marion, OH, Nancy (Tim) Cummings of Marion, OH, Marie Cutarelli of Marino, OH, Tony Cutarelli of Marion, OH, David (Chong Shim) Cutarelli of Tacoma, Washington, Charles Cutarelli of Marion, OH, Margie (Duff) Kraschinsky of Marion, OH, John (Dierdre) Cutarelli of Cardington, OH, Michael Cutarelli of Marion, OH, and Paul Cutarelli of Marion, OH.

Also her 14 grandchildren Tim Cutarelli, Aaron Cutarelli, Beth Guest, Chris Cummings, Jherek Cummings, Trena Cutarelli, Matthew Cutarelli, Nick Watson, Nathan Watson, Rochelle Hall, Phillip Cutarelli, Danielle Cutarelli, Brock Cutarelli, Chase Cutarelli, and nine great-grandchildren Julia, Mia, Tayten, Austen, Samantha, Brayden, Allison, Sicily and Milo. Two step grandchildren Ryan Weaver and Brad Weaver and two step great-grandchildren Oliver and Felix along with many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Marjorie will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Calling hours will be held Tuesday, January 10, 2012 from 4 to 8 PM at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors with Parish Prayers at 4 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, January 11, 2012, 10:30 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church with burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
