Aaron Clyde Pennington, age 74, of Marion, OH passed away Saturday, February 25, 2012 at home.
He was born July 10, 1937 to the late Walter Boyd Pennington and Mary Blanche Conley in Salyersville, KY.
On September 8, 1982 he married Roberta L. Smith.
After retiring from Tecumseh, Aaron worked at Drypers and then was self employed. Aaron enjoyed hunting, fishing with his wife, and playing bingo.
Aaron is survived by his wife Roberta; sons Douglas A. (Jeanie) Pennington of Marion, David E (Sherry) Pennington of Marion, and James (Lisa Robinson) Pennington of Marion; step-daughter Rebecca L. (Joseph Otero) Pennington; adopted children Danny Bailey and Candice Bailey; one sister Gretta Stone; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Gloria (Jack) Dodson and special family friend Michele Milar.
He was preceded in death by brothers Ray, David, and Roy; and sister Martha, Janet, Alfreda, Barb, and Lavana.
Family will receive friends from 6 PM to 8 PM Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 3, 2012 at The Gebhardt Enterprise Baptist Church, 894 Gebhardt St. Marion, OH, with Rev. Ed Moore officiating. Burial will be held at Grand Prairie Cemetery on a later date.
