Marjory J. Corwin, age 88, of Marion, passed away early Friday morning, February 17, 2012, at the Kingston Residence of Marion.
Marjory was born in Marion on April 22, 1923, the daughter of Roy H. and Margaret (Fowler) Waddell, Sr.
On December 22, 1942, Marjory was united in marriage to John Corwin. John passed away in 1969 and was the former president of Marion County Bank. Marjory too worked at the bank and retired as a teller from Bank One.
She and John were both very active community members and were also members of the Epworth United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her sister Mary (William) Payette of Marion; Nephews and Niece: James P. (Diana) Waddell of Caledonia, Michael Payette of Chicago and Sandy Payette of Caldwell; great nephews: Robert Waddell and Timothy (Dawn) Waddell; Great great nephew and niece: Trent and Abbie Waddell; She is also survived by her cousin Richard (Marge) Grigsby of Marion.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband John Corwin; her brother Roy H. Waddell, Jr.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at the Marion Cemetery, 620 Delaware Avenue at 10:00AM with Rev. David Lippert officiating. Friends and family may gather at 9:45AM at the front gate on Vernon Heights Boulevard.
