Mary E. Plough, age 73, of Marion, passed away Thursday, February 23, 2012 at Marion General Hospital.
Mary was born November 13, 1938 to Cleaster G. Bess and Mary Frances (Glass) Bess Dickson in Covington, VA.
On November 6, 1956, she married Lawrence Dane Plough in Liberty, IN.
Mary was a long time member of Grace Baptist Church, and then also became a member of Maranatha Bible Church in Edison, OH.
Mary is survived by her sons, Chris (Tonya) Plough of Fredericktown, OH, and Joel Plough of Marion; her mother, Mary of Marion; her sisters, Jean (Jim) Conner of Indiana, Delores (Ernie) Pine of Florida, Goldie Dunaway of Indiana, and Susan (Keven) Rohrbach of N. Carolina; two brothers, Jack (Ruthie) Bess of Marengo, OH, and Ralph (Irene) Bess of Texas; grandchildren, Lance (Jenna) Plough, Jamie (Andrea) Osborne, Joel (Amy) Plough, and Carissa Plough; great-grandchildren, Caleb and Gage Osborne; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her father, Cleaster, Mary was preceded in death by two sons, Aaron Dane and David Andy and two brothers, Johnnie and Michael.
Mary’s funeral services will be held at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at 10:30 AM, presided by Rev. Chris Plough. Internment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Calling hours are scheduled for Monday, February 27, 2012 from 4-8 PM.
