She married Earl Black in 1941, in Hattiesburg, MS. He died October 24, 1995 in Marion.
A lifelong resident of Marion, she retired from Marion Manor after 25 years of employment. She cherished the friendships she made during those years. She especially loooked foward to that special yearly trip to Cedar Point.
Just anyone she knew was blessed every fall when she made about 100 of those delicious "apple dumplings" and pass them out to all her family and friends.
Her life was her beloved family. They always came first and she was always there to care for them. Most precious of all to her were her grandchildren. To her each was a gem from heaven.
She is survived by three daughters, Pat Tramontana, Diana (Chuck) Dutton, Gwen (Ron) Salyer, daughter in law, Patsy Black. Eight grandchildren, Chuck (Lena) Dutton, Tammy (Chris) Swihart, Dave Tramontana, Joe (Laura) Tramontana, Angie (Rod) Callahan, Darren Black, Stacey (Jay) Woodruff and Brandi Hinton. She was preceded in death by her son, Bill Black, two brothers and three sisters.
Her family would like to thank her niece, Judy Conroy for all her help. A special thanks to all the aids and nurses at Marion Manor for all their support and loving care.
