Shirley M. Bray, age 82, of Marion passed away at Hartland of Marion on March 12, 2012.
Shirley was born July 20, 1929, in Dayton, OH, to the late Willis A. and Beatrice D. (Karl) Dwyer.
Shirley married John “Pat” Bray on May 5, 1951.
She was a 1947 graduate of Parker High School in Dayton, OH and a member of St. Mary Church. For most of her life Shirley was a homemaker, but previously worked for several companies in Dayton, OH as a bookkeeper.
In addition to her husband Pat, Shirley is survived by her sons: Timothy L. (Lou-Ann) Bray of Cincinnati, OH; Terrence P. (Carol) Bray of Cincinnati, OH; and Michael S. Bray of Columbus, OH; and daughter Regina M. (Randy) McQuillen of Marion. She is also survived by one brother William (Mary Jane) Dwyer of Dayton, five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Shirley is preceded in death by four brothers: Kenneth, William, Daniel, and James.
Family will receive friends Thursday, March 15, 2012 from 4 PM to 7 PM at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors; Parish Prayers will be held at 4 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, March 16, 2012 at St. Mary Church with Fr. Michael Nimocks officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
