Diana L. (Dee) Miller died Sunday, April 1, 2012 at Heartland of Marion following a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born August 1, 1953, daughter of the late Josephine (Coffey) Daniels.
On June 16, 1973, she married Charles (Chas) Miller, who survives.
Dee graduated from Marion Catholic High School in 1971 and attended Marion Technical College. She was employed at GTE / Verizon as an Administrative Assistant for 33 years before retiring early to spend more time with her family.
Following her retirement, she spent 5 years working as the Alumni Director at Marion Catholic High School. Her love of flowers and gardening led to her employment at the Marion Flower Shop for 4 years.
A true matriarch by nature, Dee spent her life putting her family and home first. Her home was always open to family and friends, and her favorite activities of gardening, sitting in the swing on the patio or lying poolside in the backyard could be shared and enjoyed by all.
The highlight of her life was becoming a grandmother to 3 beautiful, energetic grandchildren. With them she shared her knowledge, wisdom, love and support.
A true and loyal friend, Dee will be deeply missed by her "lunch buddies."
