Michael F. Miner passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at the age of 62.
He was born May 15, 1949 in Marion to the late Franklin Miner and Bette (Richards) Miner.
Michael was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He was a graduate of Marion Harding High School, class of 1968. He retired from Union Tank Care.
Michael is survived by his children, Michele Miner of Ashtabula, OH, Christopher (Lori) Miner of Utah, Matthew Miner of Columbus, OH, and Haley Miner of Marion; grandchildren, Amber, Riley, and Elle Miner; brother, Stephen (Ida) Miner of Arizona; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his brother John “Jack” Miner; and sister, Susan Morrow.
A funeral service will be held Monday, April 23, 2012 at 1 PM at Boyd-Born Funeral Home, officiated by Minister Matt Dahm. Interment will follow in Marion Cemetery where the Marion County Veterans Council will conduct military honors. Calling hours will be held Sunday, April 22, 2012 at the funeral home.
