Michael Robert McKiernan, Marion: “When you come to Heaven one day, don’t look for me at the gate. I won’t be on the streets of Gold, or at the Jasper Wall. Just keep walking straight through all the beautiful angels. I’ll be the one knelling at my dear Jesus' feet.” These are the sweet comforting words Mike left us with.

A dedicated man of God, devoted Husband, Father, and loving Grand-Father, Michael Robert McKiernan, age 68, went to be with his Lord on April 26, 2012 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.

Mike was born January 24, 1944 to the late Bernard and Gladys (Clark) McKiernan in Ontario, Canada.

Mike is survived by his wife, Donna J (Finch) McKiernan of Marion; daughters Mika Jo (Donnie) Redd of Centerburg, OH, Tammy Niles of Richwood, OH, Janet Beeney of Prospect, OH and Lisa (Edward) Lenane of Delaware, OH; grandchildren, Gabrielle Mayse, Brendan, Addillay and Bryanna Benney of Marion, Whitney Niles of Cincinnati, OH, Alexis Lenane of Delaware, OH, and Drake and Clarke Redd of Centerburg, OH. Also surviving are sisters Katherine Dawse of Ontario, Canada, Doris (Bob) Cunningham of Marion and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his brothers Patrick McKiernan, John Wagner; sisters Bonnie, Edna, Margaret, and Rose all of Ontario, Canada.

Mike was a prayer warrior for anyone in need. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He joined his church: Victory Center Church of God in 1999. The family extends a special thank you to the Hospice Nurses.

Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 on Sunday, April 29, 2012 at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors, 347 W. Center St.  A Funeral Services will be held on 12 noon, Monday, April 30, 2012 with one hour of visitation prior to the service at Victory Center Church of God, 1190 Fairground St., Marion, with Pastor Donald Howell officiating.  Burial will follow in Grand Prairie Cemetery.
