Patricia A. Tramontana, 69, of Marion

Patricia A. Tramontana, age 69, of Marion, lost her battle with cancer early Tuesday morning, April 3, 2012 at her sister’s house.

She was born on March 26, 1943 in Marion. She was the daughter of the late Earl and Eva (Redd) Black.

Pat worked at GTE for 25 years and retired from Graphic Packaging in January of 2012. For several years she had a part time job at the Eagles.

She loved her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with all of her family. The family really looked forward to holiday dinners. Pat was well known for always fixing enough to feed an army, and the kids always looked forward to the leftovers they got to take home with them.

Pat had so many special friends that she loved spending time with, whether it was going out to eat or going on various gambling trips.

She is survived by two sons and a daughter: Dave Tramontana, Joe (Laura) Tramontana, both of Marion and Angie (Rod) Callahan of Indiana; Nine grandchildren: Ashlee, Tony, Tyler, Shon, Emily, Allison, Dominic and Jordan Tramontana and Sara Callahan; two great grandchildren: Rylee and Aleigha; two sisters: Diana (Chuck) Dutton and Gwen (Ron) Sayler; Sister-in-law Patsy Black.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Bill Black.

Her family would like to thank her cousin, Judy Conroy, and her sister, Gwen Salyer, for all of their help and support.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 6, 2012 at the Denzer-Farison-Hottinger & Snyder Funeral Home, 360 East Center St., Marion from 4PM to 7PM. Funeral services will immediately follow at 7PM with Pastor Riley Powell officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Marion General Hospital Hospice.
