Quinton Syck, 80, of Marion, went home to be with Jesus Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at 11:30 PM at Marion General Hospital.
Quinton was born February 3, 1932 to the late Irvin McKinley and Ivy Myrtle (Pinson) Syck. He married Bettie Ann (Syck) Syck.
Quinton is survived by his wife Bettie; son, Brian (Crystal) Syck; daughters, Rachel (Dave) Bird, and Kim (Dale) Cranston; grandchildren, Ashley and Brittany Cranston, Ray Schilling, Katie Bird, and Landon Syck; great granddaughter, Serenity Cranston; sisters, Sophie Preston, Shirley Skeens, and Evanell Spears; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Virginia May.
A funeral will be held Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at 10 AM at the First Free Will Baptist Church on Crissinger Road. Burial will follow in Marion Cemetery. Pastors Paul Staton and Roger Fletcher will officiate the service. Calling hours will be held Monday, April 23, 2012 at the church from 6-8 PM.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Syck family to assist with funeral expenses. Arrangements are in care of Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Condolences can be expressed at www.boydbornfuneralhome.
