Richard E. Wilson, age 74, of Bucyrus and formerly of Marion, went to be with our Lord and Savior Saturday, April 14, 2012 at the Cleveland Veterans Medical Center.
He was born January 18, 1938 to the late Edwin L. Laird and Virginia L (Saxton).
Richard proudly served his county in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, later in life he retired from the American Malleable Company and was a member of the Eagles Lodge.
Richard is survived by his sisters Susan E. Holley of Virginia and Kathy A. Laird of Bucyrus and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Janet Greene.
A Grave Side Service will be held Thursday, April 19, 2012 at the La Rue Cemetery with Rev. Manzo Surgener officiating. The Marion County United Veterans’ Council will conduct Military rights at the cemetery.
