Richard Jay Johnson age 71 of Green Camp, Ohio passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at Partners of Marion.
He was born December 14, 1940 in Marion, Ohio to the late William C. and Ethel A. (Cooke) Johnson.
On May 21 1961 he married Linda Gale (Ishmael) Johnson, she preceded him in death on October 13, 1998.
Richard graduated from Green Camp High School in 1959, was a member of Green Camp Baptist Church and attended Emanuel Reformed Church. He was owner of Richard Johnson Plumbing for 26 years, retiring in 2002. He previously worked at the Erie?Lakawanna Rail Road and Joe Davis Builders.
He is survived by his two daughters, Rebecca (Kevin) Oldham and Cheryl (Chip) Kepford, grandchildren, Faith (Sean) Hammes, Kristen (David Booth) Oldham, JT (Jenn) Ballenger, Kaley Oldham, Evan Oldham, step grandchildren, Lee Kepford, Kaylee Kepford, Tucker Kepford, great grandchildren, Gracelyn, Chloe and Quinn Hammes.
Richard was preceded in death by siblings, Bill, Dee, and Paul Johnson and Norma Falco.
Visitation for Richard will be Sunday, April 22, 2012 from 1 – 4 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Burial will take place at a later date at Green Camp Cemetery.
