Stephen K. Septer, age 64, of Marion, passed away on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.
Stephen was born to the late Fred and Princess (Gilbert) Septer on January 12, 1948 in Marion, Ohio.
He attended and graduated from River Valley High School. Stephen spent time working as a carpet installer for many years and he also worked at Lowe’s.
Stephen was very proud to serve as a leader in the Boy Scouts for many years and served in the Order of the Arrow. He was an avid bald eagle enthusiast, spending a lot of time watching and admiring the majesty of the bald eagle. Other hobbies Stephen enjoyed included a collection of model cars, ceramic painting and he also spent time carving and whittling wood. He will forever be remembered as a selfless and loving person who especially adored his grandchildren.
He is survived by his children: Eric (Trina), Alison, John (Shelley) and Adam Septer; grandchildren Blake and Dayne Septer; a sister Penny (Roger) Knachel and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his step father Walter Haberman and a brother Gilbert Septer.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, April 20, 2012 at the Abundant Life Assembly of God Church, 2303 Marion Mount Gilead Rd Marion, at 11AM with Pastor Doug Ford officiating.
