Donald H. "Packie" Coykendall age 77 of Marion, Ohio passed away Saturday, May 12, 2012 at his residence.
He was born January 16, 1935 in Mt. Gilead, Ohio to the late Alva Wesley and Pearl Virtue (Simpson) Coykendall.
On November 17, 1972 he married Grace R. ) Brofford.
Donald was employed at M.P.S. for forty-four years as a tool grinder after his retirement he helped his son at Hughes Satelite and delivered flowers and medicine for Kroger.
He is survived by his wife, Grace R. Coykendall of Marion, four sons, Lawrence M. (Judi) Hughes Sr. of Marion, Keith (Cretia) Coykendall of TX., Rick (Tina) Coykendall of Caledonia, Larry (Robin) Coykendall of Mt. Gilead, a daughter, Lois E. Tillman of Marion, brother, Rex (Dee) Coykendall of Mt. Vernon, sister, Violet (Derry) Bales of Marion, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Steven Coykendall and a sister, Linda Smith.
Funeral services for Donald will be Wednesday, May 16, 2012 @ 1:30 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home with Pastor Eli Bush officiating. Burial will follow at Marion Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday, May 15, 2012 from 4 – 7 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home.
