Naomi Griffith age 87 of Marion, Ohio passed away Thursday, May 10, 2012 at Marion General Hospital.
She was born December 20, 1924 in Stearns, KY., to the late Harris and Lola (Crabtree) Akers.
On June 23, 1951 in Whitley City, KY., she married Garfield Griffith, he preceded her in death in 2001.
Naomi has been a resident of Marion since 1943 and was employed at Marion City Schools for eighteen years as a custodian.
She is survived by a daughter, Susan Wilson of Marion, a son, William (Barbara) Griffith of Marion, eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren, two sisters, Fannie Marshall of Galion, Mattie Bigler of Marion and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Naomi was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
Funeral Services for Naomi will be Monday, May 14, 2012 @ 7 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home with Rev. Dwight Hord officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be Monday, Mat 14, 2012 from 4 – 7 PM at the funeral home. Burial will take place at a later date in KY.
