Randy V. Adkins of Marion was welcomed into the arms of his Master on May 4, 2012.
He was born on January 30, 1955 in Pike Co., Ky. to Edard Adkins and Vida Adkins Rose.
Randy lived most of his life in Marion.
He was preceded in death by his father Edard Adkins and step-father George Rose as well as a nephew Jimmy Adkins.
He is survived by his mother Vida Rose, one son, Joshua (Julie) Calbert and grandsons Ryan and Tyler, three sisters; Faye (Monroe) Coleman, Pike Co., Ky., Bobbie (Joe) LeMasters, Green Camp, Ohio, Jayne Bush, Marion, Ohio, four brothers; Perry (Becky) Adkins, Houston, Tx., Richard Adkins, Marion, Ohio, Dallas (Linda) Adkins, Houston, Tx., Bruce (Beth) Adkins, Memphis, Tn., sixteen nieces and nephews, twenty-one great nieces and nephews and three great-great nephews.
As a young man, Randy enjoyed working on Hot Rods and going to Drag Races. Randy also loved going to Church and spending time with family and trips to Kentucky. His smile, kindness and love will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
The family wishes to thank the Doctor's and nursing staff at Community Healthcare Center and Marion General Hospital.
Funeral Services for Randy will be on Tuesday May 8, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Officiating the service will be the Revs. Joseph LeMasters and Monroe Coleman. Burial will follow in the Grand Prairie Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday May 7, 2012 from 6 to 8 P.M.
