Anna Louise Malone, 72, of Marion, passed away unexpectedly Friday, June 15, 2012. Louise was born on March 5, 1940 to Homer and Bertha Bushatz, who precede her in death. She was married to Robert (Bob) Malone, who passed away in 2010.
She is survived by 3 children, Michael (Trudi) Malone, Molly (Bob) Smith, and Mary Malone, all of Marion; 5 grandchildren, Michael, Kyle, Dezarae, Brandon, and Courtney; 1 great-grandchild, Gavin; several nieces and nephews; and a brother, Ron (Jan) Bushatz of Grayson, GA,. She was preceded in death by a brother, Ken Bushatz of Marion.
Louise was a 1958 graduate of Marion Harding High School, and a long-standing member of Epworth United Methodist Church. She worked for the Ohio Dept. of Transportation for over 18 years. She loved to cook and bake, and was an avid reader and gardener. She was an artist who enjoyed spending her time quilting, painting, crafting, and decorating her home. She also participated in book clubs, quilting circles, and the Red Hatters. Louise cherished her role as caregiver and was always gracious and generous in her support of family and friends. She was a devoted Christian with a great interest in spirituality and prayer.
She loved her family dearly; was a beautiful woman and a wonderful mother, grandmother, and devoted wife. Now she is with her beloved husband and will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Friends may call on Thursday, June 21st from 5 PM until 8 PM at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors. The funeral will be held 10:30 AM, Friday, June 22, 2012 at Epworth United Methodist Church, 249 East Center St., with Pastor Dan Kieger officiating. Burial will follow in the Marion Cemetery.
