L. Leota “Odie” Lane, 94, of Marion

L. Leota “Odie” Lane, age 94, of Marion passed away early Wednesday morning at Primrose of Marion. Leota passed away on her 76th wedding anniversary to be with her beloved husband in heaven. She was born on May 19, 1918 in Bucyrus, Ohio to Isaac and Mary (Houseberg) Ensminger. She married Earl Austin Lane on June 27, 1936 and he preceded her in death.

She was also preceded in death by her sister; Adeline Kennedy and her 2 brothers; Dale and Leo Ensminger. Leota had worked at Sawyer Sanitarium, Pleasant Schools and retired from Wilson-Bohannan.  Surviving are her son; William E. (Janet) Lane Sr. of Marion, her 3 grandchildren; William Lane Jr. of Prospect, Sandra (Patrick) Weaver of Galion and Ronald (Nicole) Lane of Ostrander, her 3 great-grandchildren; Jason Weaver, Erik Weaver and Annabelle “Belle” Lane and special family members; Bob Lane, Gerald Lane, Floyd “Butch” Lane, Donnie Lane, Esther Clark, Nellie Columber, Jean Gruber and Onie Jesse.

uneral services will be held Monday at 2:00 P.M. at the Hughes-Allen Funeral Home with Pastor Charles Reed officiating. Burial will follow in Claridon Cemetery.

Friends may call Monday from Noon until the time of services at the Hughes-Allen Funeral Home.
