LeRoy C. Dean, Jr. age 56 of Marion, Ohio, passed away Thursday June 14, 2012 at the Community Health Care Center.
He was born December 15, 1955 in Marion to LeRoy C. and Marilyn J. (Kellogg) Dean, Sr. who survive.
LeRoy was a self-employed contractor and also worked at one time for fourteen years for Seismic Drilling. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and was attached to the 82nd AirBorne.
LeRoy was an active participant with the V.F.W. He also loved to hunt.
Other survivers include a daughter and two sons; Angela Dean of Seattle, Washington, Brian (Laura) Dean of Upper Arlington, Ohio, and Christopher Fox of Indiana. A granddaughter survives, Audrey Fox, as well as a sister, Sheryl Keller of Marion, Ohio, and numerous nieces and nephews. Also surviving are several close friends. Two sisters preceded LeRoy in death; Carol Dean and Lori Hostetter.
There will be a Memorial Service for LeRoy on Tuesday June 19, 2012 at 10:30 A.M. at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Officiating the service will be the Rev. Lyle Baker. Burial will take place at a later date in the Marion Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday June 18, 2012 from 4 to 8 P.M.
