Esther B. Cottrill age 96 of Marion, Ohio passed away Monday, July 16, 2012 at Marion Manor Nursing Home.
She was born August 12, 1915 in Marion, Ohio to the late Victor and Maude (Heist) Mahaffey.
On October 30, 1954 in Angola, IN., she married Earl C. Cottrill, he preceded her in death on April 10, 2001.
Esther was a member of Berean Baptist Church and enjoyed being a part of Primrose Bellringers.
She is survived by a daughter, Cathy Williams (Donald R. Hoy) of Marion, OH., a granddaughter, Jenny (John Haupt) Williams of New Bloomington, OH., a great grandson, Jonathan Haupt of New Bloomington, OH., two sisters, Virginia Myers of Newark, OH., Ruth Campbell of Marion, OH., two sister in laws, Francis Mahaffey of Marion, OH., Diana Mahaffey of Westerville, OH., a brother in law, Jack Cottrill of Marion, OH., and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Carl, Robert, Henry and Wayne Mahaffey, five sisters, Helen Andrews, Glenna Mae Davis, Martha Mahaffey, Betty Mahaffey and Iona Shipman.
Funeral services for Esther will be held Friday, July 20, 2012 @ 1 PM at Boyd-Born Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Reed. Burial will follow at Grand Prairie Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be Thursday, July 19, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Berean Baptist Church, Primrose Bellringers ( 1550 Wellness Dr.), or Acclaim Hospice.
