“Gig” Gary L. Elliott, born September 20, 1946, to Eugene and Betty (Carter) Elliott, in Marion, OH, was received home on Friday, July 13, 2012. At the age of 13, he met his best friend and would marry Janice (Davidson) Elliott on October 31, 1946. Gig was employed at the age of 18 at the Marion Power Shovel. Upon their closing, he went to work for General Electric in Worthington, OH for 18 years. When Gig retired, he worked for his son at Fuzzy’s Flowers. He was a member of Marion Cadets. He stood in faith and attended Victory Center where he served in the food pantry; he had a heart to help those in need. With love for the quarry, Gig was an active fisherman. He also loved to ride his Ducati Motorcycle.
Surviving are his wife Janice; mother Betty; and four children; Troy and Bernadine (Wurtsbaugh) Elliott of Marysville, Ryan and Rhonda (Hill) Elliott of Marion, Jason and Jenny (Moore) Elliott of Cardington, and Kara and Mike Price of New Bloomington. Sixteen grandchildren include; Chelsey, Christine, Victoria and Elijah Elliot; Kayle Garrett; Ashley Flynn; Dustin Elliott; Sebastian, Angie, Kirsten, and Justice Elliott; Jordan and Justine Foust; Jeremy and Mariah Holsinger; McKenzie Price, and 7 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters Donna (Bernard) Starling, Beckie (Richard) Starling both of Marion and numerous nieces, nephews and many special friends. Gig is preceded in death by his father, Eugene Elliott and brother, Kenny Elliott.

Family will receive friends Tuesday, July 17, 2012, at Victory Center Church of God, 1190 E. Fairground Street, from 2PM to 4PM and 6PM to 8PM. A funeral service will be held 10:30AM, Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at Victory Center Church of God with Rev. Donald Howell officiating. Burial will follow in the Marion Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Victory Center Church of God Food Pantry. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors.
