Paul David Lindsay, age 46 of Marion, passed away Monday afternoon in Marion General Hospital. Paul was born October 6th, 1965 in Mt. Gilead as the son of Lloyd Bruce Goldman of Myrtle Beach SC and Virginia Patricia (Augenstein) Helton of Marion.
He attended Mt. Gilead and Marion Public Schools and participated in the welding program at Tri-Rivers Vocational School. He was a carpenter by trade. Paul loved the out of door and enjoyed camping and fishing with his grandchildren. He was the primary caregiver for his mother Jenny.
He leaves behind his son Kenneth Helton and his companion Amanda Star Lieghty of Marion , his daughter Melissa Stewart and her companion Joshua W. Larson of Easely SC. He is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law Frankie & Loren Griem of Marion. He leaves behind 7 grandchildren ,three nieces , one great nephew and niece.
He was preceded in death by his step-dad Hershel Helton and his sister Paula Lindsay. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday July 12th at 12:00 at the Caledonia Baptist Temple with Rev. Terry Cudd officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Cemetery. Friends may call at the church for one hour prior to the time of services.
