Calvin J. Willmeth, age 86, died unexpectedly August 25, 2012, at Marion General Hospital.
He was born November 8, 1925 in LaRue, OH. to the late Calvin L. and Amy (Worthington) Willmeth.
In 1994 he married Irma L Gibson who preceded him in death on December 28, 2003.
Calvin was an avid fisherman. Nothing lit up his eyes as much as a fishing trip, unless it was winning at cards.
Calvin is survived by his daughter Joyce (Chester) Smith of Prospect, son Joe (Suzanne) Willmeth of Atlantic Beach, Fl.; three step-children, Jeff More of Zanesville, Gina Hogue of Johnstown, and Nikki Noble of Mount Vernon; three grandchildren, Julie (Rex) Davis of Richwood, Dylan Willmeth of Atlantic Beach, FL., Nathan Ramsey of Ill., and Christopher Willmeth of Mt. Vernon; and four great-grandchildren.
Calvin was preceded in death by a son Steven D. Willmeth and a grandson Jeffery Smith.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors from 5PM until 8PM. A funeral service will be held 10:30AM, Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors with Pastor Donald Howell officiating; burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. www.gunderhallandfolk.com.
