Betty Mae Weaver Brewer, Age 88 passed away at home, Saturday, September 8, 2012. She was a graduate of Marion Harding High School, Class of ‘42’. She was active in the Glee Club and a violinist in the orchestra.
She joined the United States Waves and qualified for the Hospital Corps, and received her X-ray training at Bethesda Hospital in Cincinnati.
She started her career with Doctor Morrison at 344 East Center Street (the old Smith Clinic) and at Marion General Hospital for 17 years.
She was born to the late John Milton and Twila Weaver on January 6, 1924.
She was the beloved mother of Michael R. Brewer & Pamela J. Sessody; A grandchild; Shawn Mosure; Surviving siblings are Joyce Montgomery, Cathy Jones & Danny Weaver.
A memorial service will be held at Oakland United Methodist Church, 835 Bellefontaine Avenue, Tuesday, September 11th, 2012, at 3:00 PM, where she attended as a child, was married to my father Emit Brewer, serving in their church’s music department, from choir to solo piano for over 60 years.
Her final resting place will be at the Chapel Heights Memory Garden with her Weaver family. The exact day and time has not been established. A graveside service will be scheduled along with her well deserved 21 gun salute.
