William Raymond Waterman, Sr., 78, of 2516 Capaldi Dr., Marion, Ohio, passed away on September 27, 2012, at Riverside Methodist Hospital.
He was born February 28, 1934, at Marietta, Ohio in Washington County. He was the son of the late David E. Waterman, Jr. and Mary L. Waterman (Johnson).
He is survived by his daughters, Brenda Sue Chapman (Bill) Jaynes of Findlay, Ohio; Linda Le Chapman (Hugh) Clinger of Knoxville, Tennessee; sons, William R. (Deborah) Waterman Jr., of Prospect, Ohio and Robert (Jamie) Waterman of Marietta, Ohio. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia (Root) Waterman and son, Charles E. Waterman, brother, David E. Waterman III, and sister, Mary L. Buyers.
He leaves behind 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Leaving also many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his special friend, Judy Zimak of Marion, Ohio.
William attended Marietta High School in Marietta, Ohio. He was employed with the Ohio Department of Agriculture for 18 years.
A Memorial Service for William will be held Wednesday, October 3, 2012 @ 6 PM at Boyd-Born Funeral Home with Richard Prunty officiating. Visitation for family and friends will Wednesday, October 3, 2012 from 4 – 6 PM at the funeral home.
