Christine M Smith, age 90, of Marion, died Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Heartland of Marion.
She was born November 12, 1921 in Point Pleasant, West Virginia to the late James W. and Sara Jane (Harmon) Hesson.
On June 27, 1952 she married Robert J Smith who survives.
She was employed for several years at North Electric in Mansfield, OH.
Survivors include sister-in-law Marsha Holcomb, Peg (Richard) Kennedy; Frank Jackson; nieces, Loretta Sheffield, and Betty Dangan. A brother, John Hesson and two sisters, Rachael Bryant and Cory Jackson are deceased.
“Chris” and “Bob” who never had their own children always enjoyed child care and watching their adoptive families grow up. Chris always enjoyed housework and cooking.
A memorial service will be held Monday, October 29, 2012 at 11AM at Grace Harvest Church with Rev. Greg Masteller officiating. A reception will follow.
