Harriet Lenore McPherson, age 99 of Marion, died Monday afternoon, October 22, 2012 at her home at Primrose.
She was born February 23, 1913 in Knox County to the late Charles and Belva Lenore (Fox) Beery.
On July 9, 1939 she married William H. McPherson and he died August 11, 1983.
She was a member of the former Zion Church of Christ in Prospect and the First United Church of Christ in Marion. She was an 80-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, having belonged to the former Prospect Chapter 69 and the former Lydia Chapter 83, and was currently a member of George Lewis Behrens Chapter 504 in Delaware.
She is survived by a brother, Stanley (Margaret Jane) Beery, Richwood; and a sister, Ruth Mautz, York Center. She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles R. Beery and a sister, Betty Wilson.
Funeral and public Eastern Star services will be Thursday, October 25, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home, Richwood where friends may call one hour prior to the services. Pastor Gale Green will officiate and burial will follow in Prospect Cemetery.
