Mary M. (Blevins) Smith age 79 of Marion, Ohio passed away Saturday, October 13, 2012 at Partners of Marion Care and Rehabilitation for Marion.
She was born August 11, 1933 in Greenup, Ky., to the late Harkes and Minnie (Abrams) Blevins.
On July 31,1975 she married, Richard D. Smith.
Mary was employed for twenty years at Hillside Nursing Home and Maplewood Nursing Home as a cook.
She is survived by her husband, Richard D. Smith of Marion, OH., a daughter, Joyce (Gordon) Bowen of Kendallville, IN., two sons, James Rice of Marion, OH., Robert Rice of Florida, eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren, a sister, Kathy (Dave) Campbell of Marion, OH., a brother, Billy (Debbie) Blevins of Cardington, OH.,and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by two sons, Billy Lee Rice and Paul Eugene Rice, one sister, Dorothy Rice and two brothers, Jessie Blevins and Tommy Blevins.
Funeral services for Mary will be Wednesday, October 17, 2012 @ 1 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Grand Prairie Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday, October 16, 2012 from 6 – 8 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home.
