Michael Andrew Ballenger age 74, of Marion, passed away on Monday, October 22, 2012 at Marion General Hospital.
Michael was born on April 30, 1938 to the late Charles and Esther (Rawlins) Ballenger of Marion.
On April 28, 1990, he married Sharon N. Dutton.
Michael is survived by his wife; four children: Steve (Alisha) Ballenger of Texas, Lisa (Richard) Aldridge of Marion, Lori (Michael) Allen of Florida, Tracy (Tony) Peale of Pennsylvania and step-son Brian (Jan) Dutton; seven grandchildren: Richard (Laine) Aldridge, Meggan (Jeff) Tiller, Jessica Aldridge, Michael Ballenger, Kati Ballenger, Grace Allen, Billy Allen; three step-grandchildren: Evie, Shum & Gabe, all of Texas; and one great-grandchild, Gavin Lucas Aldridge. One sister preceded him in death.
Michael was a retired Teamsters Union member, having worked for Holiday Inn Express Trucking Co. and Signal Trucking Co. He also held memberships at the Moose Lodge and the Eagles Lodge.
Calling hours will precede the service on Friday, October 26, 2012 at 9AM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home with Michael’s service following at 10AM also at the funeral home. Pastor Steve DeWeber will preside. Internment at the Marion Cemetery will immediately follow the service.
