Sally T. Steinman age 58 of 1920 Victory Rd., Marion, Ohio, passed away Monday October 29, 2012 at Marion General Hospital.
She was born February 16, 1954 in Lawrence Co., Ohio to the late Roy and Iva Nell (Gillenwater) Townsend.
On March 23, 1996 in Marion she married Fred E. Steinman and he survives.
Sally was employed as a cashier with the Community Market in Marion. She was a member of the Marion Moose Lodge where she was very active. Sally loved her flowers and gardening, and dearly loved all of her grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter and a son and a step-son; Nora Lou Street of Marion, Ohio, Gary Lee Henry, Jr. of Marion, Ohio, and John (Betty) Steinman of Lima, Ohio; And five grand and two great-grandchildren survive as well as three step-grand and five step-great-grandchildren. Sally also leaves behind three brothers; Glen Roy (Gay) Townsend of Virginia, Jack (Janie) Townsend of Florida, and Cecil Ray (Rita) Townsend of Ironton, Ohio.
Besides her parents Sally was preceded in death by a daughter, Rebecca Ann Henry, and a sister, Peggy Ann Sprouse, and a brother, Clyde David Townsend.
Funeral Services will be Friday November 2, 2012 at 10:30 A.M. at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home in Marion, Ohio. Officiating the service will be Frank DooLittle. Burial will follow in the Grand Prairie Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday November 1, 2012 from 4 to 8 P.M.
