Allan C. Brown, age 61, of Marion, passed away on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at his home.
Allan was born on October 31, 1951, in Wyandot County, to Earl R. and Joan E. (Bentz) Brown.
He graduated from Carey High School in the class of 1969.
He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Allan was employed at Whirlpool.
On February 12, 2010, Allan was united in marriage to Sherry A. January Brown in Marion.
Allan loved life. He will forever be remembered for his generous spirit of always helping anyone in need. He enjoyed refinishing furniture, he loved to hunt, and was known as a jokester.
He will be missed by his wife Sherry A. Brown; his children: Paul, Todd and Ryan Brown and Leane Schock; his step-children: George Smith II, Bobbie Mehaffey, Ashely Smith and Jason Garlock; Grandchildren; Aunts, Uncles, Nieces and Nephews; and so many others.
He is preceded in death by his mother Joan Thompson and step-father Frank Thompson, a son Sam Brown and a sister Roberta Young.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 5, 2012 at the Denzer-Farison-Hottinger & Snyder Funeral Home, 360 East Center St., Marion from 4PM to 7PM; Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 5PM.
