David Lester Robinson, age 71, of Marion, passed away at his home on Thursday, December 20, 2012.
On November 4, 1941 in Dead Lake, MN, David was born to the late Charles L. and Phoebe V. (Lillis) Robinson.
He married Linda Carol Johnson on June 22, 2002 in Marion, OH.
David was an avid golfer. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict, and was a fireman for 22 ½ years in Hibbing, MN. He later moved to Marion and retired from Whirlpool after working there 8 years.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by 5 brothers. David is survived by his wife, Linda; 3 sons, Jeffrey W. (Theresa) Miller of Sandusky, OH, Arthur (Juliann) Balis of Westerville, OH, and Thomas Balis of Tampa, FL; 5 daughters, Tara (Terry) Johnson of Hibbing, MN, Chrystal (Robert) Friend of Chisholm, MN, Melissa (William) Patterson of Hibbing, MN, and Maryrose Panula of Duluth, MN, and Melinda (Steve) Hesperson of Hibbing, MN, Ethlyn (Mike) Cordell of Enid, OK, and Karen (Mic) Kempa of Iron, MN; 26 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and his only surviving aunt, Lila Lillis of Silver Bay, MN.
