Edward Earl Seaton, age 85, of Marion, died Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Heartland of Marion.
Edward was born May 8, 1927 to the late Bernard and Coletta (Burns) Seaton in Cleveland, OH.
He served his country in the Navy during World War II from 1944 to 1946. He was employed by Signal Delivery as a driver and then administrator of Marion Moose Lodge 889.
He is survived by children: Linda Knight, of Las Vegas, NV, Donald (Jane), of Caledonia, Richard (Bonnie), of San Diego, CA, David, of Columbus, sister, Mary Colarik of Cleveland; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by Geneva E. (Masters) Seaton, Dolores M. (Campton) Seaton, Jeffery and Dick Otto, Rita Horn, and siblings, Terese Huntley and Robert Seaton.
Edward was an active member of the Eagle, Elk and Moose lodges, American Legion, VFW, AMVETS, and the Ohio Council AARP. He became a Moose #889 member in 1957, reaching Pilgrim Level in 1974, serving as past Governor, State President, and then Club Administrator for over 20 years.
Friends may call Sunday, December 2, 2012 from 2 to 5PM at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors, with a Moose Pilgrim service held at 2PM. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, December 3, 2012 at 10:30AM at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors, with Father Dwayne McNew officiating. Burial with Marion County United Veterans Services will be in Marion Cemetery.
