Helen M. Kaufman, age 80, of Marion, passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2012 at the Fairhaven Community in Upper Sandusky, Ohio.
Helen was born on June 20, 1932 in Marion to the late Alfred Daniel Kaufman and Myrtle Leona (Ruehrmund) Kaufman.
Helen worked at Huber Mfg. Company until the company moved to South Carolina. After 20 years of employment with Whirlpool, she retired in 1997.
She graduated from Pleasant High School. A life-time member of Epworth United Methodist Church and charter member of the Marion County Historical Society.
Helen was always very active and had many things that kept her busy. She loved to play cards, especially euchre. If you drove by the family farm, chances are you would see her in the yard mowing, picking up sticks or tending to the flowers. She also enjoyed volunteering her time at the Ohio State University Marion campus.
She is survived by a sister Mildred (Kenneth) Osburn and nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Ruth (William) McClain and Dorothy (Ed) Young.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at the Denzer-Farison-Hottinger & Snyder Funeral Home, 360 East Center St., Marion from 4PM to 7PM; Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 10:30AM with Rev. Daniel Kiger officiating. Burial will be in the Marion Cemetery.
