Barbara E. Sparks age 73 of Caledonia, Ohio passed away Thursday, January 31, 2012 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
She was born August 9, 1939 in Waterloo, Ohio to the late Willard and Gladys (Rogers) Yates.
On September 7, 1957 she married Stanley E. Sparks.
Barbara was a member of Victory Center Church of God.
She is survived by her husband, Stanley E. Sparks of Caledonia, Oh., her four children, Stanley E. (Vickie) Sparks Jr. of Marion, Oh., Regina K. (Terry) Gifford of Marion, Oh., Ryan K. (Sophia) Sparks of Marion, Oh., Randy L. (Abby) Sparks of Indian Lake, Oh., seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, three sisters, Vernie Coleman of Dayton, Oh., Sylvia Tipton of Springfield, Oh., Deannie Morrison of Dayton, Oh., one brother, Gerald (Ada) Yates of Marion, Oh., and numerous nieces and nephews.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Gracie Koepher and Lois Madden.
Funeral services for Barbara will be held Monday, February 4, 2013 @ 1 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home with Pastor Don Howell officiating. Burial will follow at Caledonia Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held Sunday, February 3, 2013 from 5 – 8 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home.
