John E. Culp, age 56, of Pompano Beach, Florida and formerly of Marion, Ohio left his loved ones unexpectedly on December 31, 2012 at his home.
He was born in Marion on August 30, 1956 to Victor E. and Joan (Warner) Culp.
John worked for Abel Filters, a family owned business; however, his life revolved around his family. His endless acts of kindness and love will be greatly missed. His life and manner was often laugh-out-loud funny and he taught all of us about the unbreakable bonds between a strong, loving man and his family.
John had a gift for embracing the simple pleasures in life that most just take for granted. He routinely made time in his busy schedule to enjoy every sunrise to watch the majestic wildlife soar over the ocean. He loved horse racing, playing the lottery and family celebrations. An avid Buckeye fan, he always cheered his home team and as an avid reader, he would share all his newfound knowledge. John deeply touched our hearts in an unforgettable way.
We know he is now with his parents and his brother; Bill who preceded him in death. He is survived by his two sisters; Brenda Conley and Bev (Jim) Stephan and was also the beloved uncle to Don (Debbie) Stephan, Chad (Nikki) Stephan, Shana (Kent) Bosart, Danielle (Jack) Trachtenberg, Chelsea Conley, Devven Beaver and was devoted to all their children as well.
John unselfishly requested private family farewells and will be laid to rest in the Marion Cemetery.
He will be forever cherished by all who knew and loved this remarkably wonderful brother, uncle and friend. He was our hero whose strength of character and gentle resolution will always bind us as family.
