John L. Benson age 52 of Marion, Ohio passed away at his residence Thursday, January 17, 2013.
He was born September 17, 1960 in Marion, Ohio to the late Willard and Betty Marie (Watson) Benson Jr.
On May 3, 2008 he married Heidi E. (Noggle).
John was previously employed at Nucor / Marion Steel, and for the past four years at Marion Industries.
He is survived by his wife, Heidi Benson of Marion, Oh., a daughter, Tara M. Benson of Marion, Oh., step children, Tiffany L. Friar of Caledonia, Oh., David J. Friar of Caledonia, Oh., five grandchildren, Blake Hamby, Brandon Friar, McAilah Spalding, Brycen Spalding, Hayden Fotz, two sisters, Linda K. Robertson of Marion, Oh., Judy L. (Bill Adkins) Cox of Caledonia, Oh., two brothers, Rick J. (Liz) Benson of Marion, Oh., Jerry K. (Kathy) Benson of Marion, Oh.
John was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Steven Benson.
Funeral services for John will be Monday, January 21, 2013 @ 7PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home with Tom Beckel officiating. Burial will take place at a later date. Visitation will be Monday, January 21, 2013 from 5 -7 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home.
