Marjorie G. FieldsMarjorie G. Fields, age 89, of Marion, died Wednesday, January 09, 2013 at Kingston of Marion.

Marge was born on November 23, 1923 to the late P.F. and Mabel (Hunter) Callahan in Marion.

She graduated from Harding High School in 1941 and retired from the Records Office at the Ohio State University Marion.

In 1943 she married Elta Jr. Fields, who preceded her in death on September 3, 1997.

She is survived by two sons, John (Anne) Fields of Wilmington, Delaware and Bruce (Diann) of Macedonia, OH; five grandchildren, Kevin (Francie) Fields, Jennifer (Michael) Vitucci, Meredith (Andre Lennertz) Fields, Andrew Fields, and Christine (Gearrard) Esposito; two great grandchildren, Max Hunter Fields and Anthony Elta Vitucci and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents and husband, Marge is preceded in death by her brothers, Harold, Warren, and Leslie Callahan, and sisters, Lucille Iler, Isabelle Barkley and Annabelle Latimore.

She was a lifelong member of Epworth Church, Chapter DT of the PEO Sisterhood, Marion Senior Center, OSUM Alumni, Thursday Book Club, and formerly volunteered at the Palace Theatre. Memorial contributions may be made to OSUM Scholarship Fund (Ted Myers Fund), the Marion Palace Theatre, or Epworth United Methodist Church.

Friends may call Saturday, January 12, 2013 at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors from 11AM until 12:45PM. A graveside service will be held Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 1PM in The Marion Cemetery with Rev. David Hoffman officiating.
