Raymond Eugene “Gene” Sisson, age 75, went to be with the Lord on December 31, 2012.
He was born on February 21, 1937 in Radnor, Ohio.
He joined the U.S. Navy on December 1, 1957 and was honorably discharged on January 30, 1963.
He was preceded in death by parents, Warren and Helen Sisson; stepfather, Clarence Sisson; brothers, Robert Sisson, James Sisson, and Eddie Sisson. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Florence; children, Deborah (Randy) Boldman and Ed (Jody) Sisson; grandchildren, Cody, Jeremy, and Amanda; brother, Donald (Wanda) Sisson; sister, Ruth Ann (Charlie) Mason; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by other children, Vicki Long, Joyce Flanagan, Randy Long, Steve Long, and Gary Long; 11 other grandchildren; and 6 other great grandchildren whom he loved as his own.
He was a member of Briggs Road Baptist Church. He enjoyed watching and feeding his many birds and squirrels.
Friends may call on Friday, January 4, 2013 from 2:00PM-4:00PM with funeral service to follow at 4:00PM at Briggs Road Baptist Church, 3231 Briggs Road, Columbus, Ohio 43204. Pastor Ronald Hopkins officiating. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 11:00AM at Radnor Cemetery, located at the corner of Radnor Road and Route 203 in Delaware County, Ohio.
